AVV.ALBERTO FINOCCHIARO joined the firm in 2003. After completing high school, obtained by a vote of 60/60, in 2003, only twenty-three years, he graduated with honors (110/110 cum laude) in Law at the LUISS Guido Carli University in Rome, specializing in International Law, with a grade average of 29/30 , discussing a thesis entitled “Peacekeeping Forces and International Humanitarian Law” supervisor Chiar.mo Prof. Ronzitti Natalino. During the course of studies, he has successfully passed the exams of Comparative Private Law, Private International Law, Law of international and domestic Arbitration, European Commercial Law, Maritime Law and History of International Law;

In 2000, as part of the exchange program ERASMUS, at the Faculty of Law, University of Oslo, in Norway, he attended two courses in English, Comparative Law and European Community Law of Competition, brilliantly overcoming their final exams in English language. He also successfully passed the final exam of a course of Norwegian language.

Since September 2001, Avv. Alberto Finocchiaro is in New York at the UN Headquarters, having taken part in an internship program at the Department of Legal Affairs, General Division, of the UN General Secretariat; He assists a team of legal experts in several matters, including e.g. a comparative research on the discipline of the labour law in different countries. Duing the internship periodo, he was present in NY on September 11, 2001, experiencing in person ( while he was in a meeting at the UN Headquarters), the great tragedy that involved the city and the whole world. However, he decides not to return to Italy and so, in the following months, to take part in the work of the UN General Assembly and the UN Security Council. On those occasions, he had the honor of meeting personally the past Secretary General Kofi Annan.

From September 2003 to December 2003 he took part in an internship programme at the Italian Permanent Mission to the International Organizations in Vienna, participating in several work commissions of UNCITRAL, including those in the field of Maritime Law, Commercial Arbitration Law and Elettronic Commerce.

Once in Catania, he started the forensic practice working at the firm of his father Avv. Nino Finocchiaro, and attending specialized study courses in Civil, Criminal and Administrative. During the periodo of practice he focused on Civil Law. He passed the exam to become Lawyer and he is a member of the Bar of Catania since December 2006.

In 2007 he was called to collaborate with the Chair of Maritime Law at the Faculty of Law of the University Mediterranea of ​​Reggio Calabria. Since 2009 he is among the youngest Italian lawyers who obtain accreditation from several Foreign Embassies and Consulates in Italy, including the Consulate General of the United States of America Headquarters in Naples, the Australian Embassy in Rome, the British Embassy in Rome, the Representation Sales of the Russian Federation in Milan.

In 2011, wishing to specialize further in the area of International Law, Avv. Alberto Finocchiaro won a three years PhD course in “International and domestic Arbitration Law”.

Complying with its specialization, Avv. Alberto Finocchiaro is associated with the ICC (International Chamber of Commerce) to Rome and Paris , AIA (Italian Association for Arbitration), and he has become a mediator entered in the Register of International Mediators of the Chamber of Commerce in Catania.

Avv. Alberto Finocchiaro is associated with the Compagnia Delle Opere for Eastern Sicily and he has signed an agreement to provide legal assistance to all the associated of CDO for Estearn Sicily.

He has sussecfully attended a course of Bussiness English and a French language course.

He is Lawyer of Commercial Companies, non-profit organizations, public entities, in Italy, and Procurator of Companies and privates both Italian and foreign.
